Plzeň was quite good to me café-wise. This lovely find is located off the main square, fronting a beautiful green space. Imagine my delight when I saw my much-loved Doubleshot logo on the coffee mugs.
The space was great. It’s L-shaped and narrow, with the coffee bar and two large round tables in the front part and a stone wall and bench with tables leading to the back. The back wall is a book shelf and that combined with the stone wall gives it a harmonizing look with the more industrial feeling front space. The front has big windows for a view of the park.
The coffee (45 CZK) was perfect. They even have an XXL cappuccino (65 CZK) which I’m sure you’ll all be shocked to learn I actually didn’t order. Besides a small brunch menu, they have cakes, wine and cocktails so really an all day and night affair.
And I don’t seem to be the only one taken with Le Frenchie. Walking in about 10 minutes after they opened on a Saturday morning saw three tables already filled, with most patrons ordering breakfast. Le Frenchie gets kicks for super friendly service, coffee and décor. Great place!
