Bright interior, sleek design and an adorable doggie face on my cappuccino – welcome to Café Modi. Modi is located at one end of Karlovo náměstí and I popped in one afternoon between meetings to get some work done. Free wifi worked great as I sat in the window and enjoyed my cappuccino (45 CZK). I was almost unable to add sugar and erase the cute picture in my cup. But I did.
Modi is long and narrow with most of the seating benches along the two walls. A few tables and the big bar complete the space. The café takes its name from Italian painter Amedeo Modigliani and a gallery featuring replicas of his signature paintings is the café’s primary decoration. They offer coffee to go and seem quite popular with both Czechs and tourists alike.
Café Modi works for work, has a convenient location and friendly staff. Three kicks for you!
