Better known for its tasty homemade lunch specials, warming soup and nice cakes, Bistro 8 is located between Strossmayerovo náměstí and Letná Park. The streets here seem to offer more pubs than cafes, so it’s a good place to know about. The feeling is very neighborly – you feel like your fellow diners live nearby and come here regularly. They also offer Doubleshot coffee. Caffeine needs met! Or so we thought.
Tasty but oh so tiny! It would have been wonderful to have had just a bit of a larger cappuccino (48 CZK); this one seemed gone in two sips. Yummy, of course, but disappointingly small. We sat outside; the view wasn’t great but the small table and bench was perfect for a mid-morning chat. Inside are two rooms; the front has the bar along with two high tables and stools in the windows, while the back is sparsely done with basic table and chairs, but in a simple but not boring way.
